The Forest of Dean

Tonks: "Difficult? What is difficult?" I asked incredulously.

Lupin: "This, everything about him being back and taking control. You're too young to know just what the members of the original Order of the Phoenix went through."

Tonks: I nodded. "You're right. I am too young to remember all that. I was I don't know.... 7 when it all ended after all. Sure, I don't remember a lot of it, but I do remember the fear that I could sense from every adult I came into contact with! I remember my Mum being terrified to go to sleep every night because she thought her sisters would come after her, or me. I remember thinking 'Wow, I want to do something to help, once I'm old enough,' and I am old enough now, and I do want to do something."

Lupin: "That's very noble of you. But I refuse to lose someone else I care about."

Tonks: "Have you ever stopped to think that maybe you're not the only one who feels that way?" I snapped. "I've been close to people who have died, too. And my father is on the run from Death Eaters.... I haven't heard from him since the day he left, do you really think I'm comfortable with you running off and being a selflessly idiotic hero?"

Lupin: "I'm not trying to play the hero Nymphadora. I'm trying to keep my friends and family safe. And you are making that near impossible!"

Tonks: "You're not the only one who wants to keep people safe, you're not the only one with friends and family in danger!" I burst out, furious. "So, yes, Remus. That is called playing the hero, even if you won't admit it because it sounds too self-righteous for you," I shook my head and shifted to a laying position, facing away from him.

Lupin: "Of course not. The whole Wizarding world is in danger. Even the Muggles are in danger, though they don't know it! One less person isn't going to make a difference Nymphadora."

Tonks: "So," I said through gritted teeth. "I don't have enough respect from you that you just keep calling me Nymphadora, no matter how many times I tell you I hate it?" I asked, feeling my eyes stinging with angry tears. "Maybe I should just go stay with my Mum, you can go get yourself killed and I'll tell our child you decided that you had to take the weight of the world upon yourself and try to compensate for the fact he won't have a father,"

Lupin: I took a deep breath. "Tonks then..." I began, "I'm not trying to take the weight of the world upon myself. But I can't sit on the sidelines and watch as my friends are killed. I've done that enough already." I said the last sentence quietly. "I'm attempting to make the world a better place for our son. I don't want him growing up in a world where he can't trust his best friend. Where he believes facts instead of believing in his friend! I don't want him to wonder when he looks at his friend, or when he looks at you and I, if it is the last time he will talk to them."

Tonks: "I'm trying to do the same thing," I responded, it was barely a whisper, and I wasn't even sure I'd really said it. Then I shook my head. "No, we can't argue like this, can we? All it's going to do is make this so much harder to win. We can't be fighting amongst ourselves, when we have a much more formidable, horrible future ahead of us with the way things are going. I'm sorry for being such a stubborn idiotic imbicile, sometimes." I told him, rolling to face him again. "I really am sorry. I just... You left once, and the whole time I was so afraid that you weren't coming back, the truth is, Remus... I can't do this by myself, and I suppose I figure if you're going to run off and help, that I need to as well," I admitted softly. "And I know that's not really a good excuse, but it's the truth," I sighed, biting my lip, hoping the yelling was over. "And, Remus? You can call me Dora, like my dad does, if you'd like... It's probably strange for you, calling me by my maiden name...."

Lupin: I nodded at her last comment, "But you running off isn't solving anything Dora." I said quietly, "Both of us being in danger of death doesn't help our son..."

Tonks: I scowled at him for a moment before sighing. "Fine. When do you want me to leave? I'll go stay with my mother. And you are going to stop by no less than three times a week," I stated, hoping there was no room for debate.

Lupin: "Twice a week." I smiled.

Tonks: I frowned. "Why only twice?" I asked. "This is called compromise, Remus. If you're going to make me sit out, you're going to have to agree to some of my terms..."

Lupin (NOT REMUS!!! MOONY!!!): I smiled, "I am compromising. you're lucky I'm agreeing to this at all."

Tonks: "So you'd just leave me there with absolutely no information, and no way of getting information, if I hadn't said that?" I asked. "Are you serious?"

Lupin: "It would be better than me somehow putting you in danger by contacting you."

Tonks: "All the Order safe houses are protected by Fidelus Charms," I reminded him. "No one we don't want getting in will get in,"

Lupin: "And might I remind you that Fidelis Charms can be broken?"

Tonks: "Only if the secret-keeper were to go about telling everyone where the place is," I muttered.

Lupin: "It can happen by accident as well."

Tonks: "Believe me. My parents went to extreme to make sure their home is somewhere any Order member can go if in need. After Dumbledore asked them if we could use their home as a safe house, they decided my mother would be secret keeper. She rarely leaves the house, and besides, there are so many other protections surrounding the area a Death Eater couldn't even dream of surpassing them," I said, wondering why he was being so stubborn. It was silent for a few moments more, then I heard the distinct pop of Apparation behind the tent, I knew Kingsley wouldn't be able to hear it, so I grabbed my wand, looked at Remus and walked slowly out the back entrance of the tent. There I saw two figures, both female from what I could tell, but it was getting so dark it was hard to be sure. I knew that because of the protective enchantments they couldn't see or hear me so I felt safe lifting my wand and muttering "Lumos!" I gasped when I saw Ginny and another Gryffindor standing there. I walked beyond the point of the enchantments and held my wand up still. "What are you two doing here?" I asked in disbelief.

Ginny: "Tonks?" I asked smiling as she appeared, she was holding her wand up, but she was an Auror, trained to be 'Constantly Vigilant' "Well, we decided with the new headmaster, that Hogwarts isn't exactly the best place for us at the moment,"

Amber: I looked around the Forest of Dean and saw a woman with a strange hair color come towards us. It seemed like Ginny and the woman, who Ginny called Tonks, knew each other. I nodded, agreeing with Ginny. "Not to mention the fact we got in trouble." I said, rolling my eyes. "We were supposed to see the Headmaster ourselves to see if he bought our story." I shook my head.

Lupin: I followed Dora out after a minute, wand drawn. I stepped out of the protective enchantments as Amber spoke. "Welcome to the rebellion."
